Bio

I am always intrigued by architecture and old, often abandoned, structures. I'm fascinated by high-quality hand-crafted hardware and details like stained glass and ironwork. I Enjoy working three-dimensionally – combining elements and artifacts from old buildings and wagons. My current work combines fragments from centuries – old Amish farms, reclaimed metals (brass and iron sheeting; iron from equestrian, wagon hardware), and Russian icons.

Student Opinions: Mr. Rouse has been a great teacher to us all. He always makes us laugh, but still keeps things serious when he needs to. In all the time I have known him, I have never seen him lose his temper. He always let the class come up with their own ideas on projects. He allowed us to explore most kinds of different art styles, and made it where it would be interesting for each age group.
